Wednesday, June 4 – Ben Katz from Enspire Learning will discuss "Serious Games". Remember Oregon Trail ? Ever play Brain Age? What do these two games have in common? Easy -- each has a purpose beyond pure entertainment. Serious Games include games for marketing, education, social change, and corporate training. Fortunately, just because a game is “Serious” doesn’t mean it can’t still be fun to play! This session will provide a brief history and overview of Serious Game development – we’ll cover notable examples of the genre as well as future opportunities in the space.
